
FORT CARSON, Colo. — Friends, family members and fellow soldiers were mourning the death of a Fort Carson soldier who military officials said was killed on the Fourth of July from injuries suffered in a grenade attack.
The Pentagon said Army Pfc. Steven A. Davis, 23, of Woodbridge, Va., died July 4 when insurgents attacked his unit. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, based at Fort Carson.
