Being a mother myself, I cannot imagine the grief, anger and pain you are experiencing. I can tell you, however, that there are many people right now that are praying for you and Tony. Many thanks to Tony and to you for the sacrifice he made for the freedoms we enjoy. My heartfelt condolences to you and to your family. Patti K - Stratford, CT

Antonio is my son and a Roswell, NM native. My name is Angel Mayes and I wish to thank everyone for your kind words and appreciation. He was a beautiful person and all of our lives will be empty without his physical presents. But knowing my son he will find away to let all know he is present. God bless all. I got to work with Anthony several years ago, and I just took to him very quickly. He was so approachable, friendly, and genuine, and in just the handful of times that I got hang out with him outside of work, I knew how special he was and I wanted to keep him in my life. Even though I hadn't spoken with him in upwards of a year, I thought of him from time to time and always wished him the best. I know he will be greatly missed and my heart goes out to anyone this amazing person knew and whose heart he touched.

Anthony was a kind and gentle young man. My family and I had the pleasure of knowing him. Anthony was my daughter Laura's room mate in her Rio rancho home. On the fourth of july 2010 we celebrated Anthony's Birthday at our home. Anthony always said he would have married Laura if she wasn't already married. Laura was killed 3 months after Anthony went back to Roswell before entering the military. I take great comfort inknowing that he is now protecting my Laura, just as he did his country. He will be missed.
