SOUTH JORDAN, Utah — A Utah soldier who expressed fears about his tour of duty in Afghanistan was one of five people killed when an Army helicopter crashed.
Sgt. Jesse Blamires, 25, was married with two children. Before Afghanistan, he had been in Iraq.
“They both knew something was going to happen,” a cousin, Celeste Hansen, said referring to Blamires and wife Kimberly.
Kimberly Blamires got the news May 31 in Fort Bragg, N.C., and called her husband’s parents in South Jordan, a Salt Lake City suburb.
