MARYVILLE, Tenn. — A Marine who had married about a month ago and just found out his wife was going to have a baby was shot to death in Iraq during a house search, his family said Tuesday.
Sgt. Michael Ferschke Jr. died Sunday, his father said. Ferschke, 22, of Maryville, was assigned to the 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion, 3rd Marine Division and stationed in Okinawa, Japan.
Ferschke’s father, Michael said his son had been in Iraq since March. The son and his wife had just found out they were going to have a baby, due in January.

I am deeply sorry for your loss... I also have lost a son. I pray for your family and especially now since I saw the story in the enquirer...about your grandchild and daughter in law possibly having to be deported. I PRAY this never happens and I can imagine how crushed you feel at this time. There is a link in the article to help but it is useless link.;(leading you to more and more pages unclear as to what you need to do for your voice to be heard... perhaps your family can make a website where we can contact the right persons?
