
BALTIMORE — A Green Beret from Fort Bragg, N.C., was killed when his unit was ambushed while on combat patrol in southern Afghanistan, the Defense Department announced Tuesday.
Chief Warrant Officer Bruce E. Price, 37, died Saturday, according to a Defense Department news release that identified him as being from Maryland. It did not include a Maryland hometown for Price, but a release from the U.S. Army Special Operations Command said he lived in Fayetteville, N.C.
He died in Kajaki, Afghanistan, “when individuals using rocket-propelled grenades and small-arms fire ambushed his unit,” the Defense Department statement said. Afghan authorities have said they arrested...
