Dear Mr. Pecorella, for years the image of the person in the blue sleeveless top and white pants jumping from the trade center has been etched in my mind. I even saved the newspaper with the series of photos of that soul waving from the open window than finally doing a cannonball dive out the window, as if they were merely diving into a pool. I have often gone online to see if any of the people were identified. I tried again tonight and I found your story. I hope upon hope that it was Karen and there is a sliver of closure for you. I live in New Jersey and so as with so many others, still can’t believe it happened. Anyway, just know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and at least I have the knowledge that you found your lovely Karen. Sincerely on this September 10th, 2012, Joan Sabat-Schmid
I saw her name on the 9/11 memorial that was shown on TV during the 10th anniversary. I thought it was a distinct name, one that would be easily “Googled.” I never met Karen, did not know her or that she even existed, until this morning. So I searched her name and the search quickly took me to this site. I offer my condolences to her family and friends, for a loss I know you will feel for the rest of your lives. We will not forget. From San Antonio, Texas.

Hard to believe it was 10 years ago today. In Sacramento, CA we had a 9/11 remembrance run today. At the end of the run we were given an American flag to place by a name of someone that lost their life that day. I picked Karen Sue Juday. I can’t imagine the devastation. My prayers are with her family and friends. Take care of each other.

My name is Bob Wells and I am superintendent of schools in a small Texas town. Yesterday, our students randomly drew names of the victims of 9/11 and wore that name all day to remember the terrible loss. I drew Karen’s name and wore it all day. Thought you would like to know that she remains remembered and that our prayers are with you.
