To the family and friends of Navy Aviation Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Daniel R. Verbeke, may God continue to give you the strength and understanding you need. You have every right to be very, very proud of this brave and extraordinary young man. He made the ultimate sacrifice and there is no greater sacrifice a human being can give. You did a good job of prepping this Angel for his life’s duty. God allowed you more time with Daniel, even after his accident. Many die at the scene of the accident. You are sooo blessed. Daniel will be forever loved and remembered by many. As an american service member (Army), I am proud of him and respect his service. I learned of Daniel’s death from watching the Nancy Grace Show on the Head Line News channel. There is nothing more precious than the loss of an American service/military member. Thank you for Daniel’s pride in service and job well done to you. God bless you all.

So sorry for the loss of your son, family member, friend and a fellow airmen,. I worked the flight deck for two cruises during the Viet Nam War (conflict)…Few people know…or much less realize how dangerous working the flight deck of an aircraft carrier really is, … unless you have been there…My thoughts and Prayers are with You.
Again, I am So, So Sorry for your loss … SGL. Aircraft Electricians Mate third Class, 1966 – 1970 USN
